The product provides essential elements of cover that include:
- Emergency medical expenses including repatriation for up to £10 million
- Personal accident cover for up to £25,000
- Personal legal liability for up to £2 million
You can take out optional cover for cancellation insurance which will provide cover for up to £750 per person and includes cover for unavoidable duty in an emergency.
What you need to tell us
To ensure that this insurance provides adequate cover, it is important that you tell us if you, a travelling companion or anyone on whom the trip depends (e.g. immediate relative) have any existing medical conditions. If an independent professional opinion is needed, we may refer you to the Medical Screening Line, a specialist medical assessment company. You must also tell us of any fact that is likely to influence us in the assessment or acceptance of this insurance. Failure to do so may mean that you have insufficient cover in the event of a claim.
Policy Excess
As with most travel policies, an excess will apply to certain claims. Our policy has an excess of £50 which applies to each insured person making a claim.
